Fashion Takes Action, a Toronto based non profit organization, focuses on sustainability in the fashion industry with a vision “For every garment, shoe and accessory to have sustainability stitched in, from fibre to finish.” They do this by providing their members with resources, and by raising consumer awareness through social media, public speaking events, media articles and interviews. Several years ago we spent Christmas vacation in Bali.  In between attempting to bodyboard, hitting up the local spas and stuffing our face with Indonesian delicacies, we managed to snag a vibrantly printed slouchy bucket bag that we wore every day on that vacation.  Whether at the beach or on a scooter, we found that every occasion in Bali suited our new colourful carry-all.

The partnership between Converse and Missoni has yielded some very memorable footwear, namely the Chuck Taylors the two have produced. This time around, 2 different sneakers, the Pro Leather and Auckland Racer, have been worked on for the Autumn/Winter 2012 season by the famed brands. The Pro Leather continues to utilize Horween Chromexcel leather, which we have seen recently with a couple of hi versions of the shoe.
