Fashion retailer Macys has a big day ahead of them as they unveil the anticipated Karl Lagerfeld collaborative collection today. There is a lot hanging on this line as they hope it will boost their fashion profile.

Originally announced last year, its said that this caspule collection will feature Lagerfelds signature edgy style. It supposedly has a rock and roll feel to the garments. We will have to wait and see.

This big launch is to assist the Macys fashion department to compete with other fast fashion retailers who have been working with top name designers for some time. H&M and Target both have much experience creating these collaborative lines. Karl Lagerfeld has even been a part of them before, as he worked with Target in the past. So far Macys has worked with British designers Kinder Aggugini and Matthew Williamson, but this Lagerfeld line is the big one.

According to WWD, the line will be sold in flagship stores in New York and online and will eventually be sent to 200 stores across the US. Items will start going on sale at the end of August. You should keep your eyes peeled for them if you want anything, because this is sure to fly off the shelves with all of the Lagerfeld fans out there.
