Face masks are a common sight on Japanese streets, or to be more exact, on Japanese faces. Though Westerners may feel some unease if encountering a mask-wearing person in their home towns, face masks in Japan aren’t harbingers of disease and illness. On the contrary, wearing a face mask is merely common courtesy extended to others who share an oft-crowded social milieu.Masks aren’t perfect, however, and though wearing one imparts certain advantages to both the wearer and those they meet face to face, mask use has its drawbacks including breathing discomfort, smeared makeup and sizing issues.

Model Kate Moss has posed topless for Pirelli’s 2012 calender.
The 37-year-old, who recently married rocker Jamie Hince, stripped off for the shoot with ex-boyfriend Mario Sorrenti in Corsica.
According to reports, Moss was joined by Milla Jovovich and Saskia de Brauw in posing for the calendar, which focuses on feminine beauty.
A source told Now magazine: “Kate Moss was photographed open-mouthed in a sultry pose, leaning against the wall of an abandoned farm house,”
“The pictures are hot.”
The calendar will be unveiled on 6 December in New York.

Back to school shopping was always our favourite time of year. Wed make a shopping list weeks in advance and cross our fingers that our list would meet our mothers approval. Items were often vetoed for being too short, too trendy or alas, too expensive. However if we knew then what we know now, we have a feeling that we could have scooped up every item on that list!
